i hope your holiday is filled with extra treats...

there is nothing like a cold snowy night in october
and homemade cinnamon rolls.

fall and winter collide.

the first snow fall left our leaves covered in white fluff and my toes-ies freezing.

halloween hasn't even come and gone and there is already peppermint ice-cream in stores! we bought our first of many cartons. it is beginning to feel like christmas.... in october.

all dogs go to heaven.

joey was the best puppy i have ever had. i will miss the little guy. no other dog loves lettuce and carrots like he did. as my grandma once said, "he has lived a good life... he traveled a lot." unfortunately, i doubt dogs care about going on trips. but he did. he and i have a lot in common.. born in illinois, lived in new york, lived in australia, lived in utah... he was a world traveler. i will miss his little face. he made me happy for twelve years. he bounced like a rabbit and pranced like he was royalty.

i told justin we cannot get a dog. i don't like when they die. my children can have a hamster or a fish.

p.s. sorry i wasn't there when you died. i couldn't handle it.

i am trying to do some cute fall decorations. in hopes that trick-or-treaters might come to the door! i started with the outside... any suggestions for inside???

i'll take one in an 8X10.

dear justin, if you were planning on spending $898.00 for my birthday, please purchase this cute thing from anthropologie.
xo, wifey.

snow. hail. rain. what happened to fall?

this weekend was seriously freezing. fall was skipped all together. i hate that. i hope it warms up before winter strikes. it snowed in park city. yuck. not a lot... but any snow in october is too much for me.
luckily my spirit was warmed by hot chocolate and my dads delicious french toast.
i worked so much this weekend helping my parents pack up the house for the remodel. i had a lot more stuff up there then i thought. now the containers are patiently waiting in my kitchen to be put away. i think tonight is the night. i can't reach the microwave and hot chocolate maker.. two essentials in my morning breakfast routine.

on sunday we had a carmel apple making marathon. 37 apples in one afternoon. they always turn out so pretty with my moms special touches. we tried a new apple rolled in pretzels. quite delish. justin learned that making tasty delights is not very easy. his hands started to cramp... obviously he needs to work with his hands a little more!

(notice how jake is holding his new baby girl... i love it!)

sevens.

sometimes things come in pairs... other times they come in sevens.

on monday dave informed me that he will be home in seven months. that brought a little smile to my face.

october marks seven months of marriage... which has flown by. let's hope the next seven months comes and goes just as fast.

seven days till my birthday. yikes. 24.

my favorite 'seven deadly sins' is gluttony. i could seriously indulge in some sweet and satisfying treats right about now.

seven places i have never been and would love to go: greece, turkey, egypt, thailand, switzerland, croatia, and havasupai

the seventh day of the week is my favorite.

seven things on my mind... what to make for dinner?, picture frames, should i go back to school?, curtain fabric, snowcapped mountains... pretty, but really??, when will justin be home?, fruit salad

seven things i would rather be doing.. than sitting at work (it will be hard to narrow this down.. i could just go with anything!) in a warm bed reading a good book, catching up with a friend over hot chocolate, baking a masterpiece.. in the form of cupcakes, holding hands with justin on the beach in a land far, far away, watching a good movie at home on the couch with lots of blankets, visiting australia, finding a hidden treasure that i can't live without

seven foods i love: cherries, red peppers, sprinkles, apples, pasta, feta cheese, and coffee flavored anything
